non-impact fitness around. The buoyancy of water reduces
the ‘weight’ of a person by about 90 percent. This means
that the stress on weight-bearing joints, bones and muscles
is reduced. Consequently, it is unlikely that a water
workout will result in injury or leave you with sore muscles.
In addition, water aerobics is great for the conditioned
participant who is looking for a new challenge.
Water is significantly thicker than air so every move
you make is met with resistance. This class utilizes both
dumbbells and noodles to increase resistance and strengthen
muscles.
